Our Guiding Principles

Love God & Love People

Love the Lord Your God With All Your Heart And Soul And Mind

We Seek First To Know God

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."  John 14:6

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.  Jeremiah 29.13

Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the LORD your God.  1 Chronicles 22:19

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.  1 Chronicles 16:11

One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.  Psalm 27:4

I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord; for whose sake I have lost all things.  I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.  Philippians 3:8

We Want to Glorify God in All We Do

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.  Proverbs 3:5-6

I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify you forever.  Psalm 138:1

Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.  1 Corinthians 10:31

Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God.  1 Peter 2:12

If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God.  If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength that God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.  To Him the glory and the power forever. Amen.  1Peter 4:11

We Choose To Live With Eternal Perspective

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  Matthew 6:19-21

No one can serve two masters.  Either he will hate the one and love the other or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and Money.  Matthew 6:24

Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Matthew 6:33

What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?  Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?  Mark 8:36

In my Father's house are many rooms. I am going there to prepare a place for you, and I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  John 14:2-3

In all things, God works for good for those who love Him.  Romans 8:28

Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  We fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.  2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider Him, who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.  Hebrews 12:1-3

We Trust That God Is Always With Us And Has Adopted Us As His Children

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.  2 Chronicles 16:9

Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  Isaiah 40.31

I am with you always.  Matthew 28:20

God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  2 Corinthians 9:8

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6-7

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!  1 John 3:1

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF

We Seek To Do Good To Everyone

In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.  Matthew 7:12

Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  1 Corinthians 13:4-8

As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people.  Galatians 6:10

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.   Ephesians 4:32

We Will Treat Everyone Well, Regardless of How We Are Treated

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.  Proverbs 15:1

If someone strikes you on the cheek, turn to him the other also.  And if someone takes your coat, do not stop him from taking your shirt.  Luke 6:29

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.  Romans 12:18

As believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism.  James 2:1

Be compassionate and humble.  Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called.  1 Peter 3:9

We Seek To Serve, Considering Others' Needs First

The greatest among you will be your servant.  For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.  Matthew 23:11

Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.  For even the son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.  Matthew 20.28

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.  John 15:13

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests but to the interests of others.  Philippians 2:3-4

We Will Always Tell The Truth

Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech.  1 Peter 3:10

Simply let your "Yes" be "Yes" and your "No" be "No"; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.  Matthew 5:37

We Want To Lead Everyone Toward The Hope We Have Found

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!   2 Corinthians 5:17

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them.  And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.   2 Corinthians 5:18-20

In your hearts, set apart Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope you have.  But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience.  1 Peter 3:15
